Starting The Journey

Welcome to this Cloud Engineering Blog!

I wanted to start this venture to give back to the greater IT community.  This blog will be used to provide ideas and solutions that I have run into and wished I had when trying to solve any complex issue.

My only disclaimer is that I am not promoting a certain way of solving an issue.  I know there are millions of ways to get to the same solution.  I am only giving directions on one of those paths.

A little background on my experience, I have been in the IT industry professionally for 13 years and non-professionally ever since I got my hands on my first computer as a kid in elementary school.  I worked in the health care, energy, gaming, and IT hosting industries.  These industries all have their own set of compliance governing rules and regulations from SOX to HIPAA.  Here is a link to my LinkedIn profile, RRRII Profile, for more information about me.

Some of the technologies I am working with are Pivotal Cloud Foundary, VMware vRealize Suite, and Jenkins.  So a lot of the posts will be around using these for cloud enablement and automation.
